Planing a Door: Dremel Rotary Tool


Planing a Door With a Dremel rotary tool you plane a
sticky door without having to remove it from its hinges. To demonstrate we’ll be using a
Dremel 400 series XPR and Dremel 400 Planer attachment
with the planer bit First determine whether you need to
remove material on the top or side of your door. Then with the tool unplugged. insert the
plainer bed and then attach the PL 400 planer. Plug the tool in turn it up to full speed, and worked the tool one direction
following the arrow on the planer. Concentrate your planing action in the
area that is sticking, checking how well the door shots
frequently as to not removed too much material. Once complete your door should shut
freely and easily and is now ready for repainting. Here’s some additional thoughts i’m
planing a door. Direct the pointer in the direction of
the arrow on top of the attachment. Check the surface before planing for
staples are nails as they can damage the bit. The planer removes one sixty fourth inch at
a time so for more sticky doors several passes may be required.
