Square Alternator Stitch – Remembering Your Last Stitch


As you are working on this lanyard, you might forget if your last stitch was a square stitch or a circle stitch. If we look at the top loop on one of the sides, so here that would be this orange loop, we see that below it is a loop of a different color. If we go a different side, so here we’ll see the same thing. The highest loop is this blue one, and below it is a loop of a different color. If the last loop and the one below it are different colors that means that our last stitch was a square stitch. Now you can see what it looks like when your last stitch is a circle stitch. The last loop is going to be the same color as the loop below it. This orange loop is the same color as the loop below it. So that’s how you can remember what your last stitch was.
